- Presented keynote addresses at the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA) 14th Annual Conference, Calgary, Alberta; Canadian Petroleum Industries’ Annual Safety Conference, Banff, Alberta; and the Public Relations Society of America (San Antonio Chapter).
- Developed several proposal-writing teams composed of representatives from independent school districts and universities to secure multiyear, multimillion-dollar grants from the National Science Foundation.
- Recruited and developed a proposal team whose proposal was rated by the Department of the Army as having the best management and best technical components.
- Authored the first study that demonstrated the utility of using a LISREL-based factor analytic methodology to identify higher-order factors of military leadership (Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1991, 51, pp 15-37).
- Consistently recognized for leadership during US Air Force tenure, including presentation of three Air Force Meritorious Service Medals, three Air Force Commendation Medals, the Air Force Achievement Medal, two Air Force Outstanding Unit Awards, four Air Force Organizational Excellence Awards, two Military Airlift Command Distinguished Individual Safety Awards, and the prestigious Air Training Command Professional Performer Award.
Organizational & Staff Development
- Facilitated staff-development workshops for the Alamo Community College District, San Antonio, that improved the effectiveness of strategic planning for the district by instilling focus-group methodologies into their planning process.

- Spearheaded corporate university initiative featuring tailored curricula aimed at meeting the diverse learning needs of 250+ employees (technicians, supervisors, managers and executives).
- Conducted new-employee orientation training and facilitated seminars on performance assessment, conflict management, active listening, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (adapted from Dr. Stephen Covey), and train-the-trainer methodologies.
- Led decision-making seminars for the aviation departments of SBC Communications, Inc. and the H.B. Zachry Company.
- Designed, developed, and delivered a cooperative education module for staff development for Harlandale Independent School District, San Antonio, Texas.

- Integrated programmatic and budgetary plans of the Departments of the Air Force, Army, and Navy for all applied research endeavors in Human Systems S&T throughout the Five Year Defense Program (FYDP). Human Systems S&T portion of the FYDP was subsequently submitted to the Secretary of Defense for review and approval.
- Established standard operational and training policies and oversaw implementation of multimillion-dollar budgets involving geographically separated combat units in Hawaii, Japan, Philippines, and South Korea.
Program & Project Management
- Led research team in strategic planning project to review 28 organizational deficiencies within the Department of Defense and develop a plan to eliminate those deficiencies through customer training and education. Plan was delivered, approved, and implemented by the DoD.

- Managed revisions to Air Force Research Laboratory’s Human Systems Technologies (HST) Strategy, as well as formulation of the Human Systems Defense Technology Area Plan (DTAP) and the Human Systems Technology Area Review and Assessment (TARA), including: (1) Information Display and Performance Enhancement; (2) Design Integration and Supportability; (3) Warrior Protection and Sustainment; and (4) Personnel Performance and Training.
- Steered numerous training programs to ensure compliance with published Air Force performance standards and assessed performance of diverse personnel.
